Private Francis Joseph Brewer has taken down in shorthand the statement of Private William Miller (17th Battalion 5th Brigade A.I.F) concerning the Battle of Mont St. Quentin. Private Miller from Wagga Wagga enlisted at the age of 18 on 4 April 1916. He embarked in Sydney on the "Euripides" on 9 September 1916 and disembarked in England on 16 October 1916 and then went on to France. He was wounded in action on 3 October 1918

Don’t know why, but I love this image ... Life goes on despite the weary body language of both the Aussie soldier and the European woman. Both seem sick and tired of their situations; but the eye contact still seems to be intense in the middle of all that mayhem. See pic.
