Private Edward Sparke, law clerk of Waratah, NSW enlisted in the Infantry, Field Ambulance, A.I.F. at Sydney, Aug. 1914 and embarked on board Transport A14 Euripides, 20 Oct. 1914. He served in Egypt, Gallipoli and France. (Later transfered to 1st Battalion) . He was wounded at Bullecourt, France May 1917 and returned to Australia 21 July 1917. Lieutenant on NR
