Frederick Leonard Edmonds, carpenter of Redfern, N.S.W., was born in England and lived in Sydney, serving four years in the Parramatta B Squad Light Horse before enlisting with A.I.F. 7th Field Company Engineers in Sept. 1915. He embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A23 Suffolk, 22 Dec. 1915 and served as driver in Egypt 1916-1917. Attached to Captain Frank Hurley, official photographer in Egypt and Sinai.
