Arthur Wellesley Hyman, solicitor of Martin Place, Sydney embarked on the Themistocles in Sydney, 21 Dec. 1914. He served as a major in the 2nd Australian Light Horse Brigade in the Middle East and France and on the staff of the Fourth Australian Division and was awarded an OBE for his services, and later attained the rank of Colonel with the Army Legal Corps

All’s fair in love and war ...

Don’t know why, but I love this image ... Life goes on despite the weary body language of both the Aussie soldier and the European woman. Both seem sick and tired of their situations; but the eye contact still seems to be intense in the middle of all that mayhem. See pic.
